Do I need to change before my service?
Most body treatments are enjoyed without clothing; however, please wear whatever is comfortable for you. During all treatments, the body is fully draped except for the area being worked on. Guests are given the option to change into a robe and slippers or undress in the treatment room. All services are built in with extra time for the guest to not feel rushed and to ensure they receive the full time. Shower facilities are available for all guests, please inform our spa concierge as shower and locker space is limited.

What if I have special health considerations?
Please notify our Spa Reservation Department when booking your treatment of any medical issues such as high blood pressure, allergies, any physical ailments or disabilities or if you are pregnant. Many of our products contain nuts. If you have any concerns, please let us know.

What if I am pregnant?While there are a few services that should be avoided during pregnancy, there are many beneficial treatments that can be enjoyed. Please notify our Spa Reservation Agents if you are pregnant when you make your appointment so that they can offer guidance.

Should I bring my valuables?
For the safety of your valuables, we suggest that you leave them at home or in the safe provided. We do not assume liability for valuables.

What is the cancellation policy?
As a courtesy to other guests and to our therapists, we strictly adhere to our cancellation policy. If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify us twenty-four hours in advance to avoid being charged 100% of the scheduled service.

What if I am running late for my appointment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening its effectiveness and your overall enjoyment. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest will not be delayed. The full value of your treatment will be applied.

What are the age requirements for treatments?
18 and over can enjoy all spa services. 17 and under can enjoy all salon services.

What about gratuity?
For your convenience, a 20% charge will be added to each spa service received. 18% of the 20% goes directly to the provider. Additional gratuities are at your discretion.

Are day passes available?
Day passes are available complimentary to guests receiving spa services for same day use. Day passes grant guests access to the Studio Fit, located in the Newport Marriott Hotel, which includes gym facilities, indoor heated pool and co-ed dry sauna. Guests under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Passes are only available for guests who receive spa services.

Are gift certificates available from The Spa?Yes. You may purchase Marriott Gift Certificates for any dollar amount. You may do so online or in person at The Spa.

When should I arrive for my service?
Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your service to change and start your appointment on time. Arriving late may prevent you from being able to change into a robe and cut into your appointment resulting in a shorter service so we can stay on schedule for the next guest. The full price would still be applied.

Do you have a pool or sauna?
The spa is strictly treatment-based. Our amenities include men’s and women’s locker rooms and a co-ed relaxation lounge. The pool and sauna are located in the hotel’s fitness center.

What if I have a special preference for my treatment?
We ask that you notify us when booking your appointment if you have any particular preferences or if you would prefer a male or female provider. A guest intake form will be sent after booking, please feel free to fill out the preference survey or call and speak to our front desk staff.
